In an effort to more effectively and proactively support your bswift training needs, we now offer monthly complimentary system demonstrations/training webinars. These sessions are intended to help familiarize you with our product and tools as well as ensure timely initial and on-going training for your Human Resources staff. Below are the two training options we offer:
Basic Training - 1:00-3:00pm CT
This session will always be provided during the first two hours of the designated training window. Ideal for beginners, this time will be dedicated to providing a general system overview of both the employee and administrator views of the site, and focus on basic system administration. This session also provides a nice overview of system capabilities for Broker and TPA agents and producers.
Advanced Training - 3:15-4:15pm CT
In this hour-long session, participants will gain a more in-depth understanding of select topics. This session is geared toward the advanced user, and the format is more interactive than the initial two hours of basic training. Questions are encouraged, so come prepared to ask questions specific to the monthly topic being offered!

March 4th – Tips and Tricks of the Demographic Import process:
In this session we will cover the following:
- Tips on reviewing the data file prior to importing to ensure a successful file load
- Common errors received when loading data and how to resolve
- Reviewing reports to verify the data that changed upon import
- Please note that this session should only be attended by our Broker and TPA agents and producers who are responsible for importing client data into the bswift system.
April 1st – Total Compensation Statements:
In this session we will review what data fields can be populated and display on the online compensation statement. We will also review the customizations available on this statement.
May 6th –Tips and Tricks of the Benefit Election Import process:
In this session we will cover the following:
- Tips on reviewing the data file prior to importing to ensure a successful file load
- Common errors received when loading data and how to resolve
- Reviewing reports to verify the data that changed upon import
- Please note that this session should only be attended by our Broker and TPA agents and producers who are responsible for importing client data into the bswift system.
June 3rd – COBRA Administration Page:
In this session we will review why you may want to track COBRA participants in bswift, how to use the COBRA Qualifying Event Review page, and common interface files we may send to COBRA administrators.
July 8th – Vendor Files 101:
In this session, we will discuss the implementation and maintenance of vendor files. Topics covered will include account structure mapping, transmission methods, and discrepancy reports.
August 5th – Enroll and Edit Benefit Coverages:
In this session we will review how to effectively use the Enroll and Edit Coverage pages, including tips and tricks on the following topics:
- Correction of begin dates
- Correction of termination dates
- Updating benefit coverages
September 9th – HR Modules on bswift:
Enhanced HR Functionality on bswift: Expand your knowledge of available HR administrative tools on bswift including:
- Time Off Tracking
- Company Assets
- Resume Tracking (work experience, education, skills, etc.)
- Employee Onboarding (Workflows)
October 7th – Dual Enrollment Process:
In this session we will review the process for a system administrator to follow when an employee submits a new hire and/or life event for the current benefit plan year during the open enrollment period for the new plan year.
November 4th – Enrollment and Activity Reports:
In this session we will cover the custom report writer tool, as well as a few standard reports that you may find helpful especially prior to and after your open enrollment period.
December 2nd – Evidence of Insurability/Vendor Interface page:
In this session we will review how to approve and/or reject enrollments that are pending for Evidence of Insurability(EOI) carrier review. In addition we will cover the Vendor Interface Page and how to read/track payroll and/or carrier files that bswift may create and send on your behalf.
